Summer –
Balvatika – I to Grade – I : 7:45 A.M to 11:30 A.M.
CLASS – II to CLASS XI : 7:45 A.M to 1:40 A.M.
Winter –
Balvatika – I to Grade – I : 8:20 A.M to 11:30 A.M.
Class – II to Class – XI : 8:20 A.M to 2:00 P.M.
Every 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month will be non-working days.
Timings mentioned above may change on special days or as the need be.
i)Any parent/ guardian can meet the subject teacher or class teacher for any clarification/ doubts related to academic matters with prior permission and appointment only.
ii) In case a parent / guardian specifically wants to meet the principal, prior permission has to be taken mentioning the reason. Parents are welcome to send e-mails to the school at bcmi.school@gmail.com for any suggestion and queries along with the student's details.
iii) Whenever parents / guardians contact teachers / Principal/office staff, it is expected of them to be respectful and discuss with them in a friendly manner.
Students are prohibited from bringing mobile phones, iPods, music systems, electronic gadgets, or large sums of money to school. Any such items found will be confiscated and returned only after the academic session concludes. No requests for exceptions will be entertained. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against violators, which may include suspension.
Parents are encouraged to send only toffees, preferably Eclairs, to celebrate their child's birthday. Alternatively, a pen, pencil, or eraser (valued at no more than ₹20) may be given instead. Students from Class I onwards are not permitted to wear colored clothes on their birthdays.
Guardians accompanying their wards should ensure timely arrival. No student will be permitted entry into the school more than 20 minutes after the session has commenced. Latecomers will be sent home.
Guardians or escorts must carry the Escort Card when collecting their ward from school or the bus stop. This is mandatory for students of Classes Nursery to V for security reasons. Without the Escort Card, the child will be returned to school.
Children may not be taken home during school hours unless there is an emergency. In such cases, permission from the Principal must be obtained. Parents are not allowed to meet their ward during school hours. The Principal's decision is final.
There is no provision for retests for any tests, half-yearly, or final examinations for Classes III–VIII. If a student misses an exam due to medical reasons, a doctor's prescription must be submitted to the school to mark the absence as 'Exemption.' No other reasons will be considered for exemption.
If your child is unwell and unable to attend class tests, please provide a leave note along with a medical certificate and prescription within 2 days of rejoining.
Parents must promptly inform the school of any changes in address, telephone number, or other student details. This is crucial for your child's security and for emergency contact purposes.
Every student is expected to participate in all school activities, including those that occur beyond normal school hours and outside the school premises.
The following are strictly prohibited in school: hair coloring, perming, mehendi, nail polish, body tattoos, kajal, eyeliner, perfumes, deodorants, hair gel, nose rings, bangles, expensive watches, fancy accessories, and fancy haircuts.
Parents are requested to monitor the type of literature, CDs/DVDs, and websites their child accesses.
Students must address their teachers and all school staff with due respect and politeness.
Chewing gum, "Pan Masala," or any form of addiction, irregular attendance, disobedience, misconduct, any form of verbal or written obscenity, using unfair means in examinations, damage to school or others' property, use of foul language, causing physical harm to others, bullying, rowdiness, and misconduct in the school bus will lead to strict disciplinary action. Repeated misconduct may result in suspension.
Students are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. Each article should be labeled with the student's name, class, section, and admission number.
It is compulsory for all students to speak only in English within the school campus.
a) All students must bring the school Almanac and wear the ID Card to school daily. In case of loss, a fee of ₹100 for the Almanac and ₹200 for the ID Card must be deposited at the Front Office along with an application to issue a new one. In case of loss of the Report Card, ₹50 must be deposited at the Front Office.
b) The school will provide the ID Card and Escort Card free of cost at the beginning of the session. However, if such cards need to be reissued for any reason, an application along with ₹200 for the ID Card and ₹100 for the Escort Card must be submitted.
Open House / PTM will be conducted offline. Timings will be communicated to parents well in advance. Parents are requested to adhere to the given timings.
Photography within the school premises is prohibited.
No teacher will be called from the class for a meeting with parents or on the phone during class hours.
Parents availing of the car pool service are requested to check the details and ensure that all safety measures prescribed by the Transport Department, Government of West Bengal, are adhered to.
Please do not allow your child to watch TV serials or movies and play computer games that contain violence or abusive language. Monitor what your child is watching and discourage access to Facebook or other social networking sites.
Many students have become addicted to playing computer games and online games on mobile phones. Please monitor your child's activities and do not allow them to play such games. Smartphones should not be given for leisure purposes; they may only be used for academic purposes.
